{Boards & Beams - A Housewarming Gift}

One of the new release sets from Papertrey Ink is the Boards & Beams set. The set comes with two different types of houses (city & country) with lots of fun accessories to decorate the yard and landscape. It's the perfect set for hostess gifts, change of address announcements, and housewarming gifts. I chose to go with a housewarming gift for my project with this set.

Odd as it may sound, I had a bottle of vino sitting around that I hadn't drank...I know, astonishing isn't it. lol When this set came along, I knew at once that I wanted to use the bottle as a housewarming gift. What better way is ther to relax after an exhausting weekend of moving, than a nice glass of wine?

A long while ago I purchased these waterproof labels. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to actually USE them. Do you ever buy supplies because you MIGHT want to use it sometime? I can't tell you how many things I have like this in my craft space. Most of the time I forget I have something, but this time I remembered the labels! Yeah me!

This has to be one of the easiest gifts I have ever made for someone. I mean, once I removed the original labels, it was just a matter of stamping a new label and carefully applying it (you don't wait air bubbles), add a little ribbon and a cute corkscrew charm, and it was finished.

If I had someone to actually give this to (no one I know has moved...locally anyway) I would include some nice wine glasses, and some personalized wine glass charms...perhaps even a matching candle. It's a great way to congratulate someone for getting a new mortgage! HA!
